Information for Prospective Lab Members
Postdoc Research Opportunities
We do not currently have any funded postdoctoral positions available in the lab. However, if you are eligible for independent funding (e.g., the NSF or USDA postdoctoral fellowships, Fulbright grants, or TCU's postdoctoral fellowship), please feel free to reach out. I would be happy to discuss potential research projects and work with you to develop your application materials.
Graduate Research
**A fully funded Ph.D. position** (funded by teaching assistance) is available in the lab, with a projected start date of August 2024. The project will be centered on the population and community ecology of plant-insect or insect-microbe interactions. The project is designed to give the student opportunities to learn and apply techniques from field ecology, chemical ecology, and/or microbial ecology to answer questions about the ecology and evolution of mutualisms involving plants and insects. Opportunities for both field and lab work are available and will depend on student interest. Applicants should send a CV, a cover letter describing their research interests and reasons for applying, and the names and contact details of THREE potential referees to Dr. Annika Nelson ([email protected]). Read the full job description here.
